Our Mission

Our Mission

Our story began after visiting Jamaica for missions in rural communities and assessing the needs of the underserved. People came to the mission field with visible physical ailments—chronic pain, high blood pressure, diabetes, cataracts, hunger, and fatigue. But as we listened more closely, we discovered something deeper: behind the symptoms were silent wounds—grief from lost loved ones, burnout from caring for families without support, depression from years of hardship, and a quiet spiritual despair that left many feeling forgotten and unseen.

One young man, who had been unable to hear for years and believed he was permanently deaf, came early one morning. After carefully cleaning the heavy buildup of wax in his ears, he began to hear again—and danced with pure joy. Another man, who had lost his leg in a stone-crushing machine, received a prosthetic leg for the very first time, and without any therapy, he ran down the street, laughing and shouting in celebration. An elderly woman who was begging for help for her failed pacemaker eventually died because she was not able to get one. Another elderly woman, with tears streaming down her face, grimaced as she said, “Mi body sick, yes... but mi heart sicker.”

That moment changed everything. We realized that true healing doesn't come from medicine alone—it requires compassion, deep listening, and a space for emotional and spiritual restoration.

That’s why the Mind, Body and Soul Health Ministry was born: to serve the whole person—not just what hurts on the outside, but what’s broken on the inside. Because in every wound, there's a story... and in every story, there’s a soul worth healing.
